Phase II of the development of the Tonga National Employment Policy (TNEP) completed today, Friday, October 25, 2024. Over the past three days, representatives from relevant government agencies, employers’ and workers’ groups, NGOs, education and training providers participated in focused group meetings. These discussions will help shape the first draft of the TNEP.

The policy development began with an initial workshop in May 2024, and the next step will be a second workshop in November 2024, where the first draft will be reviewed.
