Tonga’s Minister of Trade and Economic Development and Minister of Tourism Hon. Dr. Viliami Uasike Latu attended the “Strengthening Financing for rhe SDGs: High Level Dialogue Between MDB Heads and UN Member States” meeting hosted by Jamaica and Canada, co-Chairs of the Group of Friends on SDG Financing, together with Spain, host of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4).
Participants included the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Narions, H.E. Amina J. Mohammed, heads and leaders of Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) and UN Members, Tonga included.
The meeting’s objective was to brief UN Member States on the progress made by MDBs in working together as a system and how these efforts contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Hon. Dr. Viliami Uasike Latu attended the meeting with Hon. Dulcie Tei. H. E. Va’inga Tone and ‘Olita Tupou.
