MTED were thrilled to kick off the Tonga Trade Fair 2024 yesterday, 27th August 2024, at the Queen Salote Memorial Hall in Nuku’alofa! The soft opening ceremony brought together leaders and delegations from the PILFM.

Welcoming remarks, Hon. Viliami Uasike Latu, Minister of Trade and Economic Development, emphasized, “Events such as today’s trade fair underscore the critical role of trade in fostering economic prosperity and resilience in our Blue Pacific Continent.”

Attendees were also treated to a captivating performance of the traditional Tau’olunga dance.

We’re excited to continue the Trade Fair, which runs from 28th to 30th August. Come support our local businesses and join in the celebrations!
